I’ve been writing and communicating for a living since 2014. I’ve worked as a development director, a marketing director, a content editor, a social media editor. I’ve written grant proposals, case statements, newsletters, emails, web-sites, blog posts, political platforms, and I’m finishing the first draft of my first book. One lesson has followed me from the tiny office in Southwest Greensboro, into all of my work with organizations in South Bend, and soon it will follow me up to my new home in Providence:

It doesn’t matter what you know. It matters what you can communicate.
